Farah set for a new journey, a choreography course for wannabe dancers and actors

Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan has joined hands with Shashi Ranjan's  ITA School of Performing Arts, to design a unique choreography course in India. The Farah Khan Choreography Course (FKCC) it will be available in The ITA School centers in Mumbai, Jaipur and Indore to start with, and will spread its wings subsequently.

The course will be a first-of-its-kind with the syllabus and workshops designed by Farah and will enable encourage students to create dance sequences on screen by providing them the requisite grounding in the technicalities of camera, edit and composition. Says Farah, "I've been choreographing for films for the last 25 years and though starting only dance classes has never excited me, the idea of compiling and developing a choreography course was thrilling. It was great to get an institution like ITA School, with its reputation and reach to support and partner in on this endeavour. The FKCC course will teach students how to conceive, choreograph and shoot a film song because "anybody can dance, but not everyone can choreograph!"

Adds Shashi, "Farah's vast experience and multifarious accomplishments would really impart a cutting-edge grooming to the trainees here. Together, we are sure to go a long way in serving the Industry in its dire need of trained talent."
