Budhia is on top of the world as celebs praise the biopic

Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ biopic, Budhia Singh – Born To Run starring Manoj Bajpayee and child actor Mayur Patole has hit the theatres today and it has already earned accolades from actors and sporting personalities.

The film directed by Soumendra Padhi is based on the life of Budhia Singh from Odisha, who became the world's youngest marathon runner when he covered a distance of 65 km from Bhubaneswar to Puri at the age of four in 2006.

Here is what celebs say about the film:
Vidya Balan (Actress): Even the burning 50 degree sun could not stop him from finishing his record run. I really hope to see him run for India, break new records and make us proud.

John Abraham (Actor): I believe that everyone deserves a chance. Budhia's raw talent should be honed to produce a winner who will bring India more pride and glory.

Milkha Singh (Legendary sprinter): Budhia is a fine example of a boy who was born with talent and he should be allowed to bloom under expert supervision and right training. I would love to see him participate in the Olympics and put India on the global map in the field of marathon running.

Sunil Gavaskar (Ex-Indian cricket captain): India’s hope for an Olympic gold rests on the shoulders of athletes like Budhia. He's a natural runner gifted by God and should be allowed to follow his calling.

Bhaichung Bhutia (Former Indian football star): The worst nightmare for a sportsperson is when he isn't allowed to play. I strongly believe that every meritorious athlete should be encouraged and aided to pursue his dream.

Suresh Raina (Cricketer): He had the whole country up on its feet and cheering for him at the age of four. Today, he is 14 and craving to make them cheer for him again. I would love to watch him cross the finishing line.

Sunil Chhetri (Footballer): His dream was short lived, but never forgotten. His perseverance and dedication should be rewarded and we hope he makes a comeback soon.
