It’s been almost forty years since man stepped on Moon and it’s time for history to repeat itself. NextGen Films announced its ambitious science fiction drama ChandaMama Door Ke with Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead. The film is slated to release on January 26, 2018.
Directed by National award-winner Sanjay Puran Singh of Lahore fame, the film is the story of India’s unwavering astronauts who set out on a mission that brings the nation together. Technicians from Hollywood who have worked on films like Star Trek, Armageddon, Apollo 13, Deep Impact and Robo Cop are part of the project. Producer Viki Rajani says, “We have a great combination of a powerful script, a talented director like Sanjay and a brilliant and effortless actor like Sushant who’s already carved a niche for himself with his choice of roles and performances."
Director Sanjay adds, “ChandaMama... is a tale of courage, hope and ambition, about the pursuit of India’s illustrious dream of reaching the moon. It’s a story that needs to be told. Says Sushant, “It promises to be an epic film that has not been attempted before and I am really excited to be a part of this very special project.”
