As per sources, the movie based on boxing was applauded by the audiences.Madhavan’s fans were quite excited to interact with him. Says the actor, “I’m really overwhelmed and touched with all the love and affection that the people of Japan have showered upon me and my film Irudhi Suttru. I had never anticipated this.” Irudhi Suttru is directed by Sudha Kongara and stars Ritika Singh apart from Madhavan and others.

R Madhavan's Saala Khadoos takes TRPs to a new height
The R Madhavan-starrer Saala Khadoos may not have performed as expected at the box-office, but the bilingual (Hindi and Tamil) that premiered on TV on the same day (August 15) notched up high TRPs.
The Tamil version is titled Irrudhi Suttru. A film revolving around the plight of boxing in the country, is also an inspiring tale amid the pathetic performances of our athletes at the Rio Olympics.
"Kaun kehta hai Hindustanio mein dam nahi? Sports mein se politics hatakar dekho… gali gali mein champions milenge," is still a craze. Saala Khadoos is directed by Sudha Kongara also stars Ritika Singh, Mumtaz Sorcar, Zakir Hussain and others.

Madhavan wins the Provoke Style Icon Award
He's not only a versatile actor with a rich body of work behind him, R Madhavan has a style of his own. And the actor got his due when he was given the coveted Style Icon of the Year at the Provoke Awards, South India's Most Prestigious Award function in Chennai today. Chennai's Provoke Lifestyle Magazine celebrated its 1st anniversary by honoring esteemed personalities from business and films. The actor also gave away the Pride of India Award to Mr. Pratap Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals.
